Bab Al-Hara(2006)

Bab Al-Hara is a landmark Arab television series set in 1920s Damascus, following the displaced residents of Harat al-Dabeh after French bombardment forces them to Harat al-Salihiyah. The social drama centers on a tight-knit neighborhood grappling with tradition, honor, and community values as a theft upends their world. When gold disappears from cloth merchant Abu Ibrahim's house and guard Abu al-Samu is killed, the men of the quarter launch a search for the thief.
