Friend, Our Legend(2009)

Friend, Our Legend is a series that expands Kwak Kyung-taek's semi-autobiographical story of four childhood friends navigating the brutal streets of Busan during the 1970s and 1980s. Based on the 2001 film, the show traces how these boys come of age amid gang violence and street crime. As they mature into adulthood, the bond between best friends Dong-soo and Joon-seok fractures irreparably. What began as brotherhood transforms into bitter rivalry as both men rise through the city's underworld, forcing them into opposing camps. The series captures the raw intensity of their transformation from loyal companions to ruthless enemies, exploring how circumstance and ambition can destroy even the strongest friendships.
