Canadian Idol(2003)

Canadian Idol is a reality competition series that aired on CTV, adapted from the British format Pop Idol. Hosted by Ben Mulroney, the show searched for Canada's most talented young singer through a cross-country audition tour. A panel of four judges—Jake Gold, Sass Jordan, Zack Werner, and Farley Flex—evaluated performers across major cities before narrowing the field to ten finalists. Live performances followed, with viewers voting by phone to determine who advanced each week. The competitor with the fewest votes was eliminated nightly until two remained. The winner was decided by final viewer votes and crowned the next day. Taped at Toronto's John Bassett Theatre, Canadian Idol became a platform for discovering emerging vocal talent across the country, with rotating roving reporters covering the competition's journey.
