Little Missy(1986)

Little Missy is a Brazilian historical drama set in 1886, two years before slavery's abolition. In the interior town of Araruna, São Paulo, Sinhá Moça—daughter of a powerful colonel and baron—returns from her studies to find herself drawn to Dr. Rodolfo, a passionate Republican abolitionist. Though raised in privilege, Sinhá Moça shares Rodolfo's conviction that slavery must end, putting her at odds with her father's monarchist values. Their romance deepens as they join forces with other abolitionists, orchestrating secret raids on slave quarters to liberate enslaved people and guide them toward freedom. The series captures the ideological clash between tradition and progress, following two young people who risk everything to fight for justice in a deeply divided society.
