Moeyo Ken TV(2005)

Moeyo Ken is a series set during Japan's rapid modernization in the Meiji era, as Kyoto hosts an Expo and the government begins licensing monsters living among humans. A private company called Kido Shinsengumi Co. Ltd. enforces these regulations, arresting unregistered creatures to maintain order. The story follows Sakamoto Ryunosuke, son of the legendary Sakamoto Ryoma, who returns to Kyoto from Shanghai alongside his monster companion, Nekomaru. As the young man navigates this strange new world where humans and monsters coexist under government control, he becomes entangled in the company's operations. The series blends historical setting with supernatural elements, exploring themes of tradition versus progress and the tensions between regulation and freedom in a transforming society.
