Public Affairs Office in the Sky is a Japanese drama series about two people whose careers have stalled. Rika Inaba, a determined television director at Teito Broadcasting, dreamed of becoming a top news reporter but finds herself demoted to a lighter information program covering the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. Daisuke Sorai, an aspiring aerobatics pilot, injures his leg just as he reaches for his dream of joining the elite Blue Impulse team. Instead, he's assigned to the force's public relations office, where he becomes Rika's assigned attendant. The two clash constantly—their views and temperaments couldn't be more different. Yet both carry the weight of shattered childhood dreams and feel trapped by life's setbacks. As they work together, mutual understanding develops between them, and they begin to support each other in finding new purpose and direction.
