Dog and Cat(1977)

Dog and Cat is an American television series that aired on ABC in 1977, following undercover detective Sgt. Jack Ramsey and his inexperienced partner J.Z. Kane as they work the streets of Los Angeles. Ramsey, played by Lou Antonio, forms an unlikely partnership with Kane built on friendship and trust, the two tackling cases together under the watchful eye of their boss, Lieutenant Arthur Kipling. The show takes its title from police slang for male-female detective pairings. Dog and Cat became particularly memorable for its distinctive vehicle: a custom Volkswagen Beetle equipped with a Porsche engine, driven by Kane in the series. The chemistry between the mismatched partners drives the action as they pursue L.A.'s criminals week after week.
