The Royal Swordsmen(2005)

The Royal Swordsmen is a historical action series set during the Ming dynasty, following Zhu Wushi as he assembles a secret service to protect the Emperor. He recruits four elite agents: Duan Tianya, a martial arts master; Shangguan Haitang, a brilliant strategist; Guihai Yidao, a dao expert driven by vengeance; and Cheng Shifei, a former thief with exceptional inherited abilities. The team faces constant opposition from the Eastern Depot, a rival faction led by the powerful eunuch Cao Zhengchun. As the agents work to safeguard the monarchy and expose hidden conspiracies, they discover that Zhu Wushi harbors his own hidden agenda. Caught between loyalty and survival, the four must navigate betrayal and political intrigue to save the Emperor and uncover the truth behind their leader's true intentions.
