Terra Formars(2014)

Terra Formars is a sci-fi anime series set two decades after a catastrophic terraforming mission to Mars unleashed human-cockroach hybrids on the planet. Shokichi Komachi, one of only two survivors from that doomed expedition, is forced to return when the AE virus—brought back from Mars—begins decimating Earth's population. Boarding the spacecraft Annex 1, Shokichi leads a desperate mission to retrieve a virus sample that could save humanity. But Mars holds darker secrets than anyone anticipated. The team must contend with evolved Terra Formars, multinational conspiracies, and sabotage from within their own ranks. Survival means uncovering the truth behind the original accident—and deciding who deserves to live.
