Home Fires(2015)

Home Fires is a British drama series set in rural Cheshire during World War II, following a group of women whose lives are upended as war separates them from their husbands, fathers, sons and brothers. As conflict spreads across the nation, the women of Great Paxford's Women's Institute band together to support their community and each other through extraordinary hardship. Facing rationing, loss, and uncertainty, they discover reserves of courage and resilience they never knew they possessed. The series explores how ordinary women became the backbone of the home front, maintaining hope and humanity when the world seemed to be falling apart around them.
