The Lava Field(2014)

The Lava Field is an Icelandic crime series following detective Helgi Marvin Runarsson as he investigates what appears to be a suicide on Snaefellsnes Peninsula. The case quickly spirals into something far darker, forcing Helgi to confront his own buried secrets. As evidence mounts, he faces an impossible choice: expose a murder and risk his daughter's life, or look the other way. Set against Iceland's stark volcanic landscape, the series explores how far a man will go to protect those he loves, even when the cost is his integrity.
