The Unusual Family(2016)

The Unusual Family is a South Korean series following two women navigating ambition and belonging in Seoul. Dan-Yi arrives from her rural farming village determined to sell local products at premium prices, landing a job as a merchandiser at Good Morning Home Shopping. Her niece Sam-Wol works as a show host at the same company, but their values clash sharply. While Dan-Yi cherishes her hometown roots and works to uplift her community, Sam-Wol has rejected village life entirely, chasing wealth and status in the city with relentless hunger. As aunt and niece pursue opposing dreams within the same workplace, their conflicting priorities create tension that tests family bonds and forces both women to reconsider what truly matters.
