Weekend Special(1977)

Weekend Special is a children's anthology series that aired Saturday mornings on ABC from 1977 to 1997. Each half-hour episode blended live-action and animated stories designed for younger viewers, following ABC's cartoon lineup. Unlike the more serious ABC Afterschool Special—which tackled dramatic issues for older kids—Weekend Special aimed at a younger audience with lighter, more whimsical tales.
