All Dogs Go to Heaven: The Series is an animated show that aired from 1996 to 1999 across syndication, Fox Family Channel, and Cartoon Network, with 41 half-hour episodes. It expands on Don Bluth's 1989 film, following Charlie, a roguish German Shepherd who died, returned to Earth seeking revenge on his killer Carface, and found redemption through an orphaned girl named Ann-Marie. The series reprises most voice talent from the original films, including Dom DeLuise, Ernest Borgnine, Charles Nelson Reilly, Bebe Neuwirth, and Sheena Easton. Steven Weber takes over as Charlie's voice, replacing Burt Reynolds and Charlie Sheen from the films. MGM Animation produced the show with a theme song, "A Little Heaven," performed by Gene Miller, Clydene Jackson-Edwards, and Carmen Twillie. The series captures the same blend of adventure and heart that made the feature films popular with audiences.
