Smalltown follows childhood friends Conor and Fergus as they prepare to escape their small Irish hometown for better opportunities abroad. Years later, the series reunites them in a country transformed by time and change. Both men find their lives upended by family crises and long-buried conflicts that resurface with unexpected force. As they navigate the gap between their youthful ambitions and present-day reality, old tensions between them threaten to unravel what remains of their friendship. The series explores how returning home forces each man to confront the choices they've made and the versions of themselves they've become.
