Chronicle of Life(2016)

Chronicle of Life is a historical drama following Wei Lin Lang, the sole survivor of a family massacre who escapes into poverty and develops amnesia. Raised by a compassionate family under the name Gem, she grows up unaware of her true identity. Years later, her cousin Na Lan Rang Ruo recognizes her and falls in love with her. Emperor Kang Xi, rewarding Rang Ruo's loyalty, orders Lin Lang brought to the palace for betrothal—only to become captivated by her himself. As Lin Lang enters the imperial court, she faces an impossible choice between duty, love, and the secrets of her past. The series explores themes of identity, forbidden romance, and survival in the Qing dynasty.
