The Bootmen

The Bootmen is a Serbian drama series that follows Zika Kurjak, a former Yugoslav Army sergeant, from his childhood in a mining community through military service, depression, and imprisonment. Told through Kurjak's reflections from a hospital bed, the narrative traces a life shaped by twentieth-century upheaval and personal struggle.
