Sterva(2017)

Sterva is a Russian comedy series set in contemporary Moscow, following Sonya Bagretsova, a restaurant critic for a popular online magazine. Sharp-tongued and fiercely independent, Sonya is a self-proclaimed misanthrope who prides herself on needing no one. Her carefully constructed solitude unravels when her one true weakness—alcohol—lands her in increasingly absurd situations. As she navigates Moscow's food scene with acerbic wit, her cynical worldview collides with the messy realities of human connection.
