Sakura Quest follows five young women working at a small-town tourism bureau in rural Japan. When their struggling community decides to revive a quirky "micro-nation" concept—a relic of Japan's 1980s bubble economy boom—the five are recruited as "monarchs," or tourism ambassadors, to breathe new life into the initiative. As they navigate the challenges of promoting their forgotten town, the women must balance local politics, cultural preservation, and their own ambitions. The series blends comedy with genuine heart, exploring themes of community, identity, and finding purpose in unexpected places.
