Lidsville(1971)

Lidsville is a Saturday morning children's series from 1971–1973 created by Sid and Marty Krofft, the producers behind H.R. Pufnstuf and The Bugaloos. The show follows a boy who stumbles into a magical world populated by living hats and hat-wearing creatures. Like its predecessors, Lidsville blends live-action actors in makeup with performers in full mascot costumes, whose dialogue was added in post-production. The series ran for two seasons with seventeen episodes total, establishing itself as a quirky fixture of early-seventies children's television. The opening sequence was filmed at Six Flags Over Texas, lending the show an authentic amusement-park atmosphere that complemented its surreal, whimsical tone.
