O Jardineiro Espanhol is a 1967 Brazilian telenovela adapted from A. J. Cronin's 1950 novel The Spanish Gardener. Written by Tatiana Belinsky and directed by Fabio Sabag, the series stars Ednei Giovenazzi as Nicholas and Osmano Cardoso in the title role, with supporting performances from Ana Rosa, João José Pompeo, Marcus Toledo, and Paulo Villaça. The story centers on the relationship between a young boy and a devoted gardener whose bond becomes the subject of suspicion and scandal. Cronin's source material had already been adapted for British cinema in 1956, and TV Tupi had produced an earlier Brazilian television version in 1958.
