Liberty follows Christian, a teenager uprooted to Tanzania when his well-meaning parents pursue their charitable ambitions abroad. Navigating a complex expatriate community alongside local Africans, Christian struggles to find his footing in an unfamiliar world. The series explores the tensions between idealistic intentions and cultural reality, as he grapples with identity, belonging, and the messy realities of life outside his comfort zone. With humor and heart, Liberty examines what it means to be caught between worlds—neither fully at home in his parents' mission nor entirely accepted by those around him.
