The World of Lee Evans(1995)

The World of Lee Evans is a BAFTA-nominated British comedy series written by and starring Lee Evans. The 1995 Channel 4 show follows Evans as he stumbles through increasingly absurd situations, relying heavily on physical comedy and slapstick humour reminiscent of Mr. Bean. A Granada production, it marked one of the first uses of the company's new endboard design. The series showcases a notably different comedic style from Evans' later stand-up work, emphasising visual gags over his signature high-energy delivery. While popular during its original run, The World of Lee Evans has received mixed retrospective reviews, with some fans and critics arguing it doesn't match the quality of his subsequent performances. The complete series was released on Channel 4 DVD in 2006.
