High Kick Through The Roof(2009)

High Kick Through The Roof is a South Korean sitcom following two sisters—one twenty-two, one nine—who leave their rural home for Seoul after a chance event. The younger girl, Shin-ae, finds the city overwhelming: towering buildings, subways, department stores, and technology she's never encountered. The sisters land jobs as maids in the household of Sun-jae, a seventy-two-year-old food company president living in the upscale Seongbuk-dong district with his eccentric family. Sun-jae's household is a collection of quirks: his granddaughter's bathroom struggles, a socially awkward doctor son-in-law, an unconventional teacher. As the sisters navigate their new lives among this flawed but endearing clan, they experience culture shock, find romance, and grow into adulthood. The show balances comedy with genuine warmth, celebrating the messy humanity in all its characters.
