Tokusatsu GaGaGa(2019)

Tokusatsu GaGaGa is a comedy series following Kano Nakamura, an office worker who harbors a secret passion for tokusatsu—the Japanese live-action superhero genre. By day, she navigates the mundane demands of corporate life; by night, she immerses herself in tokusatsu films and shows, drawing inspiration from the heroes she loves. Kano applies the moral codes and heroic spirit of tokusatsu characters to her everyday challenges, using them as a coping mechanism to survive her ordinary existence. The series blends workplace comedy with her hidden fandom, exploring the gap between her professional persona and her true self. As her obsession becomes harder to conceal, Tokusatsu GaGaGa examines what it means to be an adult fan of genre entertainment and finding strength in unexpected places.
