The Countryside(2019)

The Countryside is a drama series about city dwellers who abandon urban life for an abandoned rural town, each fleeing their own crisis—financial strain, creative drought, existential doubt. They arrive expecting solitude and renewal, but discover the settlement isn't empty. Existing residents, rooted in traditional ways, still inhabit the place. The collision between these two worlds—urban escapists and entrenched rural communities—becomes the heart of the story. As strangers attempt to rebuild their lives from nothing, they're forced to reckon with a fundamentally different philosophy about work, community, and belonging.
