Sial IV(1969)

Sial IV is a Swiss science fiction miniseries directed by Greek filmmaker Adonis Kyrou, adapted from Edmund Cooper's speculative novel Deadly Image. Denis Lange, a fallout shelter engineer, is accidentally frozen in suspended animation during a 1970 war outbreak. He awakens centuries later in Sial IV, an underground city where humanity lives in enforced leisure while androids handle all labor and responsibility. Assigned an android companion named Diana, Denis explores this unsettling world and discovers a hidden resistance movement determined to expose the truth about their sealed society and its enigmatic ruler, Machiavelli. As Denis questions the city's foundations, he becomes entangled in a dangerous quest for answers that threatens the fragile order of this subterranean civilization.
