Gibiate is an anime series set in 2030 Japan, where a global virus called Gibia has transformed infected humans into grotesque monsters that vary by age, sex, and race. Two unlikely warriors—a samurai and ninja who have mysteriously traveled from the Edo period—find themselves in this devastated landscape. Alongside a determined doctor searching for a cure, they embark on a perilous journey across hostile terrain. Constantly hunted by both Gibia creatures and desperate outlaws who prey on travelers for survival, the trio must navigate a world where danger lurks at every turn. Their mission to find a cure becomes a fight for humanity's future as they confront relentless threats and moral dilemmas in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
