Living Among the Rich(2011)

Living Among the Rich is a South Korean series following Ji-Eun and her mother Hye-Ja as they leave their suburban life behind for the upscale Cheongdam neighborhood. Ji-Eun dreams of finally experiencing luxury, but reality proves far different. The family's new home is a cramped second-floor unit in a dilapidated building housing a comic shop below and a lodging house. Sandwiched between gleaming mansions and high-rises, their modest dwelling becomes a daily reminder of the gap between aspiration and circumstance. The series explores class tensions, family bonds, and the pursuit of a better life in one of Seoul's most exclusive districts.
