Baby Talk is an American sitcom that aired on ABC from March 1991 to May 1992 as part of the network's TGIF lineup. Loosely adapted from the Look Who's Talking films, the series was developed by Ed Weinberger and creator Amy Heckerling, who wrote and directed the original movies. Heckerling created new characters while drawing on key creative elements from the films, blending the franchise's humor with television storytelling. Weinberger served as executive producer during the first season before Saul Turteltaub and Bernie Orenstein took over production duties for the second season. The show brought the talking-baby premise to the small screen, capitalizing on the popularity of the theatrical films to create a family-friendly comedy for network television audiences.
