Almost Lover is a Chinese drama series about a late-night radio host named He Xiaoran who has quietly harbored feelings for her close friend Xiao Shangqi for years. When he began dating their mutual friend Chen Fei'er, Xiaoran chose silence over confession to protect the friendship. Eight years pass with her pain carefully buried beneath her professional life. Then Xiao Shangqi returns from abroad, unexpectedly reopening old wounds and forcing Xiaoran to confront the love she never expressed.
