Date A Live is an anime series set thirty years after a catastrophic "spacequake" destroyed central Eurasia, killing over 150 million people. Smaller spacequakes continue to strike unpredictably. High schooler Shido Itsuka discovers that mysterious beings called Spirits cause these disasters when they manifest on Earth. Recruited by a secret organization, Shido learns he possesses a rare ability to seal their powers—but with an unusual condition: he must make each Spirit fall in love with him and kiss her to neutralize the threat. As Shido encounters different Spirits, he navigates the impossible task of romance under extraordinary circumstances, blending action, comedy, and supernatural drama as humanity's survival hangs in the balance.
