Dondo Hare(2007)

Dondo Hare is a Japanese drama series following Natsumi, a 23-year-old pastry chef in training under her father in Yokohama. When her boyfriend Masaki's grandmother, the head manager of a prestigious ryokan in Morioka City, falls ill, Masaki returns home to take over the inn. Rather than accept his decision to postpone their marriage, Natsumi makes an unexpected vow: she will become the ryokan's female manager and join him. The series traces her journey as she leaves behind her baker's apprenticeship and comfortable life to pursue an unfamiliar role in a traditional Japanese inn. Natsumi must navigate the demands of hospitality, family expectations, and her relationship with Masaki as she builds a new future in Iwate Prefecture.
