Evil or Live(2017)

Evil or Live is a Chinese drama series about internet addiction and youth rehabilitation. Li Xiang, a severely addicted teenager, wakes up at Elite Reeducation Academy after being knocked unconscious and enrolled by his worried mother. The facility operates more like a prison than a school, where instructors abuse students and escape seems impossible. Desperate and broken, Li Xiang climbs to the roof to end his life, but a mysterious man named Shin intervenes with an unexpected promise. The series explores the dark realities of digital dependency, institutional control, and whether redemption is possible for those deemed too far gone. It's a raw look at how addiction destroys adolescence and what it takes to reclaim a life worth living.
