FEM is a coming-of-age series following Zav, a 16-year-old hyperpop musician navigating both artistic ambition and gender identity. Caught between his dream of breaking into the music industry and growing questions about who he is, Zav turns to social media to anonymously express his femininity and share his music—a secret life that allows him to explore himself away from his Franco-Ontarian community and family. As his online presence gains traction, the tension between his hidden world and his everyday reality intensifies. FEM captures the vulnerability and defiance of adolescence, examining how young artists use digital spaces to find themselves while grappling with the fear of exposure and its consequences on the relationships that matter most.
