Freedom(2006)

Freedom is a sci-fi anime series set in 2267, over 160 years after a catastrophic orbital station crash devastated Earth. Humanity has rebuilt on the Moon, where a thriving colony called Eden enforces strict social order. The story follows Takeru, a young resident navigating the narrow window of freedom between mandatory education and mandatory citizenship. As he and his peers grapple with their limited autonomy and the weight of their predetermined futures, they discover truths about the colony's past and their place within its rigid system. Freedom explores themes of individuality, control, and rebellion against societal constraints in a visually striking lunar setting.
