MAO(2026)

Mao is a supernatural anime series that follows Nanoka Kiba, a girl who survived a mysterious accident eight years ago at a shopping center. When she's drawn to an abandoned passage near her school, she's suddenly transported to Japan's Taishō period, where she encounters Mao, a enigmatic traveler. The two arrive at a ghost-inhabited village simultaneously and begin investigating strange occurrences unfolding around them. As Nanoka's fragmented memories of the accident resurface, she discovers that she and Mao share a darker connection than either realized. Together they uncover the sinister truth linking their pasts while navigating a world caught between the living and the dead.
