MARC is a British television series hosted by T. Rex frontman Marc Bolan. Produced by Granada Television for ITV in Manchester, the show showcased Bolan's charisma and musical talents during the glam rock era. The series is remembered chiefly for its final episode, recorded in September 1977, which featured an unforgettable duet between Bolan and his friend David Bowie. During the performance, Bolan tripped over a microphone cable and fell from the stage—a moment Bowie reportedly addressed with characteristic wit, calling for a wooden box to help Bolan reach the microphone. The last episode wasn't broadcast until after Bolan's death, when it aired following his funeral, which was attended by Bowie, Rod Stewart, and other notable figures from the music world.
