Moonacre(1994)

Moonacre is a 1994 British miniseries adapted from Elizabeth Goudge's 1946 children's fantasy novel The Little White Horse. Directed by Robin Crichton and dramatised by William Corlett, this six-part serial stars Camilla Power, Jean Anderson, and Noah Huntley. When orphaned Maria Merryweather arrives at Moonacre Manor with her devoted governess Miss Heliotrope and her spaniel Wiggins, she quickly uncovers a dark history haunting the estate. Determined to heal the Manor's tragic past, Maria embarks on a quest that will test her courage and resolve. The series blends gothic mystery with coming-of-age drama, following a young girl's journey to break an ancient curse and restore peace to her new home.
