Peplum(2015)

Peplum is a series set during the decline of the Roman Empire, following Bravus, a former slave turned adviser to the tyrannical Emperor Maximus. Caught between professional duty and personal chaos, Bravus struggles to stabilize an empire crumbling under Maximus's incompetent, cruel leadership. At home, he navigates equally turbulent waters: his son Caius has converted to Christianity, his wife Octavia defies Roman social conventions, and his daughter Lydia rebels against tradition. The series explores how one man balances the impossible demands of a failing state with a fractured family life, drawing sharp parallels to modern pressures and burnout in times of institutional collapse.
