Spy is a South Korean thriller that follows Park Hye-rim, a former intelligence operative who has lived as an ordinary housewife in Seoul for decades. When North Korea reactivates her as a spy, she receives an impossible assignment: recruit her own son, Kim Seonu, a brilliant NIS analyst specializing in North Korean intelligence. Caught between maternal love and state loyalty, Hye-rim must navigate a dangerous web of espionage, family secrets, and conflicting allegiances. Seonu's relationship with Yoon-jin, a tour guide with her own complications, adds another layer to the tension. As Hye-rim risks everything to complete her mission, the series explores the devastating personal cost of divided loyalties and the question of where true allegiance ultimately lies.
