Sunshine(2002)

Sunshine is a South Korean drama about Kim Yun-woo, a young woman working to earn money for a harbor distributor's license while living with her sea captain father. When she saves attorney Kang Dong-suk from drowning at a local singing competition, their lives become unexpectedly entangled. Kang works for a home shopping network in Seoul and is engaged to the owner's daughter, Director Choi Joon-hee. When Kim's childhood friend Lee Han-su steals money she borrowed from her parents to pursue an acting career, she's forced to follow him to Seoul. There, she must seek Kang's legal help after Han-su falls victim to a scam. As their paths cross again in the city, old connections resurface and complicate their present circumstances, setting the stage for romance and redemption amid betrayal and second chances.
