Team Astro is a series following young J. Shuro, who meets legendary pitcher Eiji Sawamura in the Philippines during World War II. Sawamura reveals his dream of assembling nine Astro Superhumans—individuals born on the same date and time in 1954, each bearing a baseball-shaped birthmark—to form an unstoppable team capable of defeating the Yomiuri Giants and Major League Baseball. After Sawamura's death, Shuro dedicates himself to finding these nine players and bringing the vision to life. When the team finally comes together, they play with supernatural intensity, executing extraordinary plays that push the boundaries of the sport. Driven by fierce determination and unwavering commitment, these players will risk everything—including their lives—to achieve greatness on the field.
