Wangan Midnight(2007)

Wangan Midnight is a racing anime series that follows Akio Asakura, a high school student determined to reclaim his pride after losing a street race to Tatsuya Shima's legendary Blackbird Porsche 911 Turbo. Akio buys a heavily-modified first-generation Datsun S30 Fairlady Z from a junkyard, unaware of its sinister past. The car, nicknamed "Devil Z," carries a curse—its previous owner, who shared Akio's name, died racing the Blackbird years before. As Akio pushes the cursed machine to its limits on Tokyo's midnight streets, fashion model Reina Akikawa enters the fray with her own modified Nissan Skyline GT-R R32, intensifying the rivalry. The series blends high-speed street racing action with supernatural tension and the obsession that drives racers to risk everything for victory.
