Legend of Basara(1998)

Legend of Basara is a fantasy series set in a war-torn Japan ruled by a tyrannical King and his four sons. Twin siblings Tatara and Sarasa are born under a prophecy: Tatara is destined to liberate the nation from oppression. When the ruthless Red King murders Tatara, his sister Sarasa assumes his identity and takes up his mantle. Disguised as her brother, she embarks on a dangerous quest across Japan to overthrow the King's regime and exact revenge on the man who killed Tatara.
